Closing file causes CAM to need re generation.

When I open a file my CAM often needs to be regenerated, the little red circle with an exclamation point inside shows up. I tested it today by generating the tool path, saving the file, confirming no red circle, closing the file, waiting for the file in the folder to update and show the current time, and then opening the file. The tool path showed the red circle again.  Why is this?

Thanks for posting.
I believe it's not an intended action, but it does happen on occasion. It's not really an "invalid" tool path. Just that it's out of date.

Any tool paths that you what to "lock" complete and make so they will not regenerate is to right-click and select "protect toolpath". This is not an ideal solution, but it's what you can try at this point.
