Modifying a STL imported MESH, is it possible ?

Hello everyone,

I try to print an 3D model I found on thinginverse but I need it a little taller, I never used meshes before in fusion and I tried in the last 20 minutes but I couldn't find a way to move the selected areas in the mesh about 8mm down, is it possible? Or I need to model the entire thing in Fusion to be able to modify it ?

Thank you for any advices!

If I'd do this in Fusion I would remodel the entire thing from scratch in about 30-40 minutes.

I believe Autodesk Meshmixer might be the better tool if you really want to modify triangulated meshes.

That is what I did, but not in 30 - 40 minutes 😄 It took me quite a while, but now I know how to use LOFT + RAIL (3D splines). Now 30 minutes ago I started 3D printing it 🙂

Thank you.

Very nice and indeed a much, much better solution than trying to modify this particular .stl file!
