My name is Nick and I started using Fusion 360 about 2 weeks ago with no prior 3D design experience. With the help of primarily this forum and some Youtube tutorials, I managed to become 'good enough to be dangerous' in the program. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone in this community who is willing to help others.
I have an interesting project I am working on and need some help on modifying a body. This design is a locomotive horn. I constructed each trumpet by drawing half of the side profile and then revolving around an axis, then using the shell command, etc. Per the prototype, the largest of the trumpets does not have a completely circular 'mouth' on the front and is more oval shaped. (See photographs).
I need to modify this body to appear more ovular at the front and have been searching the internet for tips on how to do this. I am guessing that it isn't possible since I used the revolve command and will require having to completely redraw the body and then using the loft command but I am hoping somehow I can modify the work I've previously done instead of starting fresh.
Does anyone have some suggestions on how I can go about doing this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all and I really love learning this program!
