Models are now black

Recently anything I try to draw or open is very dark. I have restarted my computer, checked to make sure I have the latest graphics drivers i switched appearance to light colored materials etc... I am using windows 8 and have attached a photo of what I am seeing.  I was able to get some work done by switching view style to just outlines. Any help would be appreciated. thank you.

Absolutely. I actually made comments to friends about how great it ran even with involved models with many imported components. So I know it works with what I have with minimal issues. I will try the windows setting tomorrow and see how it works. Thank you all for helping me/us through this.

I'm getting this problem as well on my laptop but not on my desktop. I've been noticing everyone in this thread, including me, seems to have an integrated GPU-my laptop has a intell HD 3000 and an Nvidia GT540m, whereas my desktop which isn't having problems is just running off of an R9 290. As one or two other people have mentioned, my intel display driver is randomly crashing as well when running Fusion. Could the problem be related to integrated Intel gpus?

Because these chips share memory with RAM, I'm curious how much VRAM they have assigned.

Any progress on this yet? Anyone know of a laptop that will work brand, model etc. I'm getting that desperate (and bored on my trips) that I'm willing to buy a new computer to get back to work. Thanks

We are currently tracking this via FUS-19253. I don't have exact timing on a fix, but it is a high priority. Keep your eye on the discussion board for updates. I'll be sure to update here as soon as I know something.

Thanks,

TTAero, it seems that Mac users are unaffected, but I have faith that Autodesk with resolve the issue in the coming days.

I have the same problem with the models going black. I have knowticed that if I click on the body tab in the browser, the original color returns.

I am running Inventor 2014 and 2015 without difficulty, although I will admit my laptop is a bit anemic. The computer is a dell ispiron n5110.

I has upgraded harddrive and memory and stock vidoe and monitor.

Mine worked a couple times correctly, I am looking forward to getting this fixed completely, Just wanted to thank everyone at Fusion 360. I work with public and know you always hear bad and never the good. I would like to thank you for this product, there is simply no other option anywhere close to Fusion 360, that offers this amount of CAD and CAM, for even triple the price.

thanks

I second that. It's awesome and has opened a whole new world of possibilities for me. I am a hobbyist, but I use every aspect, the cam to run a shapeoko 3 , the BriteHub drop down to have bigger parts machined. It's just awesome how everything is in one program. Thank you guys for Fusion and all the hard work keeping it dialed in.

I also noticed if you just power through the black and strong arm it alittle, the color comes back after about 5 - 10 min it seems like. So maybe if you can just push throught the first little bit, kind of seems to fix a little at a time by itself. At least it is for me..

I too am having the same problem. All my models are black in color. This has started after I updated my system to Windows 10 and Fusion 360 updated itself to the latest version.

An update was released that should address the black model issue. The release notes are below.

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-and-documentation/fusion-360-readme/td-p/4311780

Please note the system requirements are Windows 7 or 8.1 (64-bit) and production versions of the Mac OS. I hope this helps to resolve this issue. Please let us know if there any further black model issues.

Thank You,
