Model shadows

Hi all....

I'm new to fusion and still learning especially with the cad side which is totally different to the previous software I was working on.

When I'm modelling i seem to get this annoying shadow which appears around my sketch and also prevents me from selecting the curves that I've drawn to create the model that I'm trying protrude.

Can someone explain why the shadow/outline appears and is there anything i could do to remove them...

Hi. Sorry for the delayed reply.

Yes that's the one.. when i was trying to protrude a model from a sketch it keeps selecting the shadow profile from a previous sketch or model and not allowing me to select the target geometry. Very frustrating

Hi.

You can turn visibility on and off for the different sketches.

Hi,

1. Please share the file.

2. Which sketch are you talking about?

File > export > save as f3d on local device  > attach it to the next post

Hi. Apologies for the delay.. as you can see on the screencast i have a rectangle visible in sketch but it is selecting the shadow from a solid which is visibly turned off..

Still forgot it? 🙂

Paste a link to the screencast.

I have noticed that the "insert screencast" not always working.

Attache a exported file also.

File > export > save as f3d on local device

attach it.

Hi, It wouldnt allow me to attach the screencast as the HTML was invalid for some reason ha!

Attached is the file.. If you hoover curser over the rectangle sketch you will see the shadow also it will select this shape when you attempt to extrude

Hi Stuart.

Strange, the tree look odd.

Maby you have to copy a public link from your screencast library?

Do you have capture design history on?

Lennart_Losjo_0-1615367384823.png

Anyway. Take a look at my screencast.

When you created the sketch you got the two slots projected.

I coud not have any audio in my screencast because my headset is broke.

Ahh i see.. so even though the projected lines were not on the sketch it still recognises them.

Thank you! We got there in the end 😆
