Hi
I am a complete newb to Fusion 360. I started my 3D experience with sketchup but was completely frustrated by it always creating holes in the mesh as I designed. It also merged things together permanently. I had a lot of difficulty getting my exported STL files into my Flashforge 3D printing software (flashprint) error free. (I did manage it eventually but it almost drove me insane)
I have designed a test design in fusion 360 to see how to do some of the pattern things I need. I thought I'd just send it to my printer software. I downloaded meshmixer. It reported many errors due to my design having a lot of small design features. I could only get this to disappear by setting the feature size to 0. Once I did this there were no more visible errors so I exported the stl file. Flashprint reported that the design had errors.
With all my sketchup experience I homed in on the area I suspected was causing the issues.
The problem area is around the curved bricks on the arch. Fuion360 does a MUCH better job of cutting away the bricks. at the arch. However when I sliced my design in flashprint the curved bricks appear to be full of holes. The same thing holds for the rectangular bricks that were cut away at the arch. Meshmixer shows them as OK
I;ve tried looking at other posts and tried both ascii and binary STL files with the same result.
Also I can't work out how to include my cloud based design in case someone wants to take a detailed look at it. Could someone tell me how to find the file so that I can attach it.
