Hello,

You can create a rotating fan assembly in Fusion, however; you will need to export it as a format that will work with Flow Design, and once in Flow Design, the fan will not rotate.  It will behave as one solid part.  So you may be able to simulate the Coanda effect but only as if the fan blades were static wings.

Thanks Tyler,

As you said, I was able to get a solid model without rotating fans into Flow Design, which helped with the general aerodynamics but doesn't prove out the conflict of directional air flow combined with fan flow. To do this it looks like I will will have to use Autodesk CFD which will allow both rotating fan airflow and directional air flow.

I appreciate your feedback.

Alastair.

Hi Alastair,

Yes, Autodesk CFD would be your best bet for this type of analysis.
