Pretty sure I searched this both here and world wide web. Seems that the "coil" feature added sorta recently is a really cool thing and it's handy, I like it. I'm needing to model a coiling tube around a square profile and wow that's proving to be quite the chore. 1/2" OD pipe, approx 9" diameter square pattern. I've attempted several drawings (some in 3d) hoping that the "Pipe" feature will follow the path after all my drawings.
Many times I've started with a bottom drawing, functional bend radius and then used a "plain at an angle" based on feature measurements from the Coil Feature. Then attempt to copy a pattern, then try the Pipe Feature. This work around is not working, at least for me.
Perhaps someone here has attempted this and has a smoother "path" 😃 forward.
