Missing Box base constaints

Hi everyone

I have just started to use Fusion 360, realy like the UI and work flow, but its always the simple things that trip you up, and frustrate.

Like when starting a design, using the Create Box, I click on a XZ Plane to create a rectangle, tab between height and width to size the box then extrude. I continued with the design, but forgot to add 6mm to box size.

I want to go back to this first box dimensions but cannot find them in the Browser/Sketches. They are their as constraints, because I cannot add a sketch to the base of the box, to make the size change inventor style. I have spent hours looking for a way to change this, without pulling the edges, to the new size. Can you please tell me how so show and edit these first dimensions.

Im sure its really simple. Smiley Surprised

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community!

The easiest way, in my opinion, to edit this feature is to go into the timeline at the bottom of your screen and double-click the "Box Primitive" icon. This will bring up the Edit Feature dialog box where you can change the length, width, and height of your box. Please keep in mind that you can only perform this step in the direct modeling environment.

Let me know if this answered your question!

Hi @Anonymous,

I was just wondering if you had a chance to try out any of the suggestion I gave you on your design? If that worked for you, feel free to mark that answer as a solution so that others can benefit from this thread. If you have any more questions, let me know and I'd be more than happy to answer them!

Thanks,

Hi James,

Thank you for your reply, and Yes it did work thank you. Smiley Happy

I was looking in the Browser for the Edit or Sketch feature, your simple fix was in the time line all along.

Thanks again.
