I model many parts that are basically split rings. I begin by modeling the entire part as a solid ring. I then use the split body to create the upper and lower half of the ring, There are alignment dowels in the split line faces for alignment. I model the holes in the lower half and have tried to mirror the holes into the upper half body, However I can't seem to get it to work. Is it not possile to mirror holes into a separate body?

I am sure there are other methods to do it I just thought mirroring would be the simplest since it would also always keep them aligned if they change position.

From the video, it looks like the part is symmetric. You may be able to mirror the entire body, instead of just the hole features.
From my initial testing, it does not look like there is a way to mirror a hole feature AND apply the cut to different bodies, in Direct Modeling or Timeline mode. The mirrored hole feature appears to be looking for the same body referenced in the originating hole feature.

@innovatenate Thanks for the reply. Yes this one is symetric but I can't really mirror the body since the upper half is already there. I don't create the lower half and upper half separatly. I create a relvove and used the split body tool.
I suppose I could do a 180 deg revolve and add the dowel holes and then mirror the body to create the other half. In the end the upper and lower diameters will be symetrical but will have differnet milled features.
