Mirror Feature in Sheet Metal

Hello,

I've got a sheet metal part and I will send my manufacturer. I want to mirror it and I've have done however I don't know how to access mirrored body. How to edit and export dxf file of mirrorred body? I've attached file and images.

Here you go.  You must create a component of the Sheet Metal body then mirror it to have a Flat Pattern Layout of each one in the same model.

Edit: Once you have a flat pattern for each, you can export the DXF easily.

I did that in the attach file.  Do you need a Screencast on how to change a sheet metal body to a sheet metal component?

For others who are not completely clear on the steps, here they are clarified:  Starting with a part, a flat pattern, and  a dxf.  The need is to send a mirrored dxf to the manufacturer to create a right hand and left hand version.

So the process steps to complete :

1.  Create a new component in design

2. Used boundary fill on the new component to create a new body in the new component

3. Convert new body to sheetmetal

4. Mirror new sheetmetal body within new component

5. Create new flat pattern from new body in new components

6. Export DXF to file.
