I need to accurately model a wide range of National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads in Fusion 360 for my designs. Since the standard Thread command does not natively support modeled tapered threads, I am seeking a reliable custom thread library.
Request for Full NPT Thread XML Library
Does anyone have a trusted, complete XML file (e.g., NPTPipeThreads.xml or AllNPT.xml) that adds the full range of NPT sizes to the Create > Thread feature?
Using a complete custom file is the most efficient way to get the correct pitch and profile data for all common NPT sizes (e.g., 1/8",1/4",3/8",1/2",3/4",1", etc.) into the dropdown menu for the Modeled option.
I understand the geometry won't be perfectly tapered unless the base body is manually drafted to 1.7833∘ beforehand, but having the full thread data available is the key step I need to automate.
