Method to design dismountable joints for cnc

Hi everybody,

 

I am trying to work out some idea for a dismountable box. It will be placed in a holder, by rotating it 15 degrees. I am trying to create the slots (holes) in the box but now they don't go straight through the wood. I will cnc them flat from above (2d cnc) so i need the faces and what's between on the material to be the same.

So far i just turned the box and used the combine tool. Then turned back and used combine again. Tried to get rid of the different faces by using the push pull tool, but i doubtif this is the best way..

 EDIT: What i'm really hoping for is some method wich designs the space the dismountable connection needs. Something like using the combine tool while i rotate the box.

Any suggestions? Thx in advance!

The Bodem and the leunsel are the only two components (plus the houder onder) needed to determine the opening size in the leunsel.  Make a copy of those two components and place them in a new component.  Rotate the new component 15 degrees.  Create a sketch and draw the desired opening.  When you extrude this, it will change the original leunsel component as well.  All other components other than the copied leunsel should have their visibility toggled off (or make sure you're only Extrude|Cut on the copied leunsel).

Thx! Yes this is what i meant; the set pivot and section analysis are very usefull for this. I did not really use them untill now. So now i can actually see what i'm doing.
