Measurements Won't Update with Parameters

Recently Started a new project in Fusioon 360 and set a bunch of parameters, but after creating some sketches I found that the sketch dimensions are not changing when I change the parameters. They seem to be defaulting to a fixed measurement.

For example, if I set simple parameters Width 10' and Depth 5". I use those to make a box. If I change Width to 5" the sketch does not change and shows a static or fixed measurement of 10".

In any of my old projects the parameters seem to work fine, but anything new I create has the same issue. I assume it's some kind of setting, but I can't find any setting to change.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Please check your version of Fusion.  There was a problem in an earlier version where typing in a user parameter when creating sketch geometry would just use the value of that parameter, and would not keep the reference to the parameter itself.  But, that bug has been fixed in the latest version.  For existing sketches, just go into the parameter dialog and fix up the equation to reference the parameter.  This is the latest version of Fusion:

I have no idea how to check the version.  I see an icon in the upper right corner with a number 1 next to it. When I click on it I see "updating fusion 360. 0% complete" and it doesn't seem to be updating after several hours. How do I make it update?

yes, that is the problem.  You are probably back a version.  Try exiting Fusion and re-starting it - the update should start automatically.  If not, you can try just re-downloading Fusion - it will just overwrite your existing version, and should be OK
