Measure and Change Bodys Edge-length

Surprise, not a Master of Fusion 360 yet

I have another, probably extremly simple problem.

I need the edge-length of a body to be precisly 80mm. Since I extruded the body to 200mm first, used "split Body" with two layers to get seperate surfaces ("Split-Face" didn'seem to work) and then used the "draft"-Tool to get the angled surfaces, I can`t seem to change the length other than by entering an angle in the draft-tool. This way I never get the good result and its very complicated.

The Angle itself is not important.

What is important is, that the front-end of the frame is 80mm high, and the middle part is 200mm high (see pictures)

By using dimension command you can update the sketch but after extrude it is not possible.

Hope the above information helps you!

There are a few ways to get that done accurately, and Draft isn't one of them

your second extrude for the dividers was failing, so fixed that,

To cut the taper you need a dimensioned sketch on the vertical box side.  I used the inside face, so I can snap to the divider top corner.

Drew the line from top divider corner, to the edge, and dimension 80 from the bottom corner.

Extrude cut the top of the sketch in two directions because my sketch was inside the frame.

File I fixed is attached, Might help,

Hey Dave,

thats it! thanks. I actually thought about cutting as well, but since I am new with Fusion, I didn`t really know if it is the best and quickest way. Using a vertikal Sketch on the inside-plane of the frame is in deed the quickest and most accurate solution. Thanks for your effort and the solution,

Hansen
