Lost files

Good day.

I'm having a serious problem since yesterday:

I made a drawing from an existent design and also made a new desing and it's drawing. Saved everything, it showed in the data panel, everything normal like it should. Then the software crashed while i was working on a previously existent design and when I opened Fusion 360 again all the files i had created were not there.

The files that i had changed kept their changes (this is what makes me believe this is not happening due to poor internet) while the files i created simply disappeared.

When i reopened the software the changed files were in the upload list but not uploading (this is an issue I've been having since forever but didn't bother solving because it's not a real problem since the changes and versions were kept) while the created files (both drawing and designs) simply disappeared.

I looked into the forum and found this topic. So as the topic sayd I went into offline mode so I could see cached files and the files were there! Some other topics sayd to delete cached files or "upload queue file" to resolve similar issues but i'm afraid i'll lose all my work if i do this. I could generate pdf/dwg files from these cached files in offline mode but I can't find them all since they do not seem to be logically organized.

I don't know what else to do, help would be deeply appreciated since this issue is delaying our prototyping.

Best regards,

Could you share the diagnostic log files and the name of the drawing and/or design with us?

The diagnostic log file command is located on the help menu.

This will help us with some specific recommendations.

Thanks,

Thank you for your attention and quick reply.

The files are "MCSC001AA_P2", "MCSC03AA_P1", "MCSC03AA_P2", "MCSC03AA_P3", "MCSC03AA_P4", "MCSC03AA_P5", "MCSC03AA_P6", "MCSC03AA_P7", which are all drawings and "MCSC001AA explodido" which is a design. The

As of today two of the files appeared in the upload list ("MCSC03AA_P6" and "MCSC03AA_P2"), while all of the listed here are still not showing in the data panel and no progress is shown in any upload.

Thanks again,

Updating:

As i couldn't upload anything on my computer i started working on another one here that my coleague sayd he used yesterday to work on some designs and Fusion360 was working perfectly (he changed designs there and the changes were kept when consulted in a third computer). He was right, the software is working fine on the other computer, the problem is that some files that are showing in the data panel here in my computer as perfectly uploaded files are shown in the other computer as old versions (which in the case makes them blank designs because they are assemblyes composed of another designs).

Thanks again,

Thanks for the diagnostic files. I can see there are lots of files sitting in your upload queue.

In the application log files, I'm seeing lots of network errors. Can you tell me more about the network the problematic computer is running on? Could there be interferences coming from other applications running in the background? Do you notice any issues with browsing the web or other connection dependent applications?

If you browse to the below directory:

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\LYKWQMSQBALN\W.Login

Locate the file named:

UploadQueuedFileList.xml

I recommend opening the XML file with Notepad++ to make it easy to read.

This will show you a list of files that are currently "stuck" in your upload queue.

If you are able to resolve the network issues, I believe you can use the following process to get "unstuck."

1. Cut and Paste this the UploadQueedFileLIst.xml into another directory. You will find a list of files that are waiting to be uploaded.

2. Enable Offline mode in Autodesk Fusion 360.

3. Open each file that is not being saved to the cloud and perform a "Save As"

4. Once each of the files is saved as a new version, go back online.

This may mess with the version history of the design, but it will allow the normal syncing and operation to continue.

I hope this suggestion helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

I did that but nothing happened.

We're starting to thing it might be a problem with this particular computer since other computers in the same network don't have this problem. We're investigating the computer now to see if we can find a fix.

Thanks again,

HI Davi!

Thanks for the update. Is there any way you could post an updated version of the diagnostic log files?

Did the design you did a Save As on upload or did they get stuck as well?

If you're not concerned about the versions that haven't saved to the cloud. You could try deleting the UploadQueuedFileList.xml and the files in the upload "Q" folder. This will empty out the upload queue and may allow Fusion to start saving and syncing normally again. If you are concerned about those versions then please ignore that suggestion.

The biggest issue is the connection issues. I hope you're able to uncover what may be happening on that particular machine. Let me know if I can be of any assistance. I am happy to help.

Thanks,
