Lost all my projects after update

Hi,

After a recent update I have lost all my projects. I can access my recent data that has been saved locally but can't access anything from the cloud. I can't save or export anything i do have access to.

Any Ideas of how to fix this?

Hi @hamishc - unfortunately we have an outage at the moment, which is likely causing what you're seeing.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Just to check does it seem like you have a brand new account within Fusion. For instance - even though you lost all of your self-created data, are there still two default projects there (should be like James First Project and Demo Project)? If so I am curious to see if perhaps you are signing in with the wrong account, or something happened to the hub. Can you please select your name in the top-right corner of Fusion 360 and sign out then back in again. Does the data repopulate? If not, please restart your computer and then restart Fusion. If it is still not there, can you please send me your diagnostic log files from the Help menu within Fusion. Then feel free to email them to me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com.

One last check - can you please visit myhub.autodesk360.com and sign in. Realistically, Fusion 360 should reflect exactly what is sees on this website on the data panel. This check should help us nail down where the issue is occurring. We want to check to see if Fusion IS reporting the same thing as A360 (regardless if all the data is there or not).

Thanks,

My projects are all there, however, I have lost everything in favorites material and appearance both, many of them took hours to perfect for renders. All models went back to basic preloaded materials and appearance.

Hi James,

It seems I do have two accounts. I never used the first account, and did
not re-login after the update. Perhaps something autofilled in the old
login details rather than the ones I have been using. I'll delete the other
account to prevent this happening again. On that note, could you please
tell me how to delete a project?

Sorry to have wasted your time,

Poppy

Hi @Anonymous,

Not a problem, it happens more frequently than you think! To delete a project you will have to go the Master Project list within Fusion (or A360) and right-click the project. An option called Archive should pop up. This is not a true to form delete, but should operate how you intend it to. When you archive the file, it will still be available to Recover under A360, but will not show up in your data panel or active project list.

Thanks,
