Some warnings ?

This is so broken that when using Modify->Compute all it does not even get to the yellow ions and stops with the message above the there are 15-20 sketches likely with missing references.

However, my general tip would be to use fewer rails and profiles as that usually yields better results. I believe you can live is 1/2 or 1/3 of the rails and profiles.

i am aware that a lot of coincidences are lost.

All the coincidences for the two profiles I checked were Ok

And therefore I thought when making a loft for two perpendicular profiles it shouldn't fail because of lost coincidences that are not involved.

maybe it is better to work with less rails

however the Main question is if two profiles cannot  be perpendicular , or can they?

I've tried different ways to retrieve a solid

How must I create a solid in this situation.

Is my way correct or is there a better way

It is bothering me quite a while.

I am still not quite sure what the problem is you are describing. Perhaps you can try to create a small model that allows to re-create the problem so I can take a look at it and provide help.

The loft tool is very powerful, but can be quite difficult to work with sometimes.

Hi Trippy,

Hereby the simplified f3d.

All what is left are a few frames at AFT SHIP position and waterlines they should act as rails

Continuous lines are showing what it's all about

Construction lines show the surrounding structure

Be aware I was planning to create this body and then it had to be mirrored.

I think I understand the use of rails

For a profile the choise is free or direction ?? what is the effect???

?? How can I use centerline ??

?? What can I do with chain selection / closed ??

The struggle is that I already made an exceptable body

but I can't see the logic in what I am doing.

I hope you are able to explain the logic

I also read the topic  LOFTING WITH INTERSECTING EDGES

you were also involved!  it seems to be the same trouble.

See also our older conversation on this

regards,

Pieter
