I am looking to buy a new laptop as the one i have isn't quite powerful enough to support fusion 360 and other programs running at the same time. i am looking at the lenovo y700 computer and it seems to have all i should need but figured id check here first.

That'll do it purely going by the hardware specs.

I even worked on an old iMac 2008 or light MacBook.

 

In the end it comes down to how big your models will be. You can bring also a workstation to it's knees with a big enough model / assembly!
