Joint Issues

Hey, I am having some issues with joints. I have built an assembly that is supposed to move in 6 axis. for some reason the bottom instead of the top would move which is not what I want so I grounded the bottom piece of the assembly and now nothing moves. If anyone can give me some insight on where I messed up or what I did wrong that would be much appreciated

I can't share the entire file as it's confidential so i will try and send you the part of it that im having issues with.  Give me a few minutes and I'll get back to you

I can't seem to send you part of the assembly, and unfortunately I cant send the entire file as I have signed a Non Disclosure agreement and that goes against the contract 😭 I can however send a video but I don't think that is going to help very much

why don't you create a study model of simple shapes (like rectangles) jointed in the way your trying to get things to move.  That would at least be a place to start.

I figured out my issue. I had 6 different objects joined to 3 pieces of angle iron but the 3 pieces of angle iron were all acting as one component so they would move together uniformly. I made each piece of angle iron its own component and it fixed my issue!
