I am working on a car screw jack. I am trying to create a joint such that as the upper left arm revolves the lift plate slides up or down. I attached a copy of the project. I will really appreciate any quick reply. i am in a hurry to finish it.

Here you go.  You needed to use a Cylindrical Joint to allow from some sideways error.  Do not forget to mark the Accept Solution or ask another question.  Model is attached.

If my Forum post solved your question, please select the "Accept Solution" icon to do three things. First it allows others to find a solution to a similar question, two, it closes the Forum post and last, it acknowledges that you accept the solution given. If you need further help, please ask.

One Cylindrical joint is used due to an error in the Cylinder joint.

Please see the video I took of the process of completion.

@Bunga777 @jhackney1972

Makes perfect sense to fudge with Cylindrical Joint, if you are not interested in finding the misalignment.

(Yes I did this tutorial with Revolves) My Joint List.

However, you have too many sketches with blue sketch articles keeping you awake.

So why would you sketch on the Origin, (Born Technique) and build it over there.  Eyeballs are good for removing clutter.  Cylinders and Moves would not be in the @TheCADWhisperer tutorial as far as I remember.

Back to normal programming,

This slider joint is flush inside the base, on one side.

Might help....

You did not cite the source of your information?

When I was in school - we were taught to always cite our sources.

@umehugonna

Sketch1 is empty?

Sketch2 is not fully defined.  Duplicated dimensions?

You should have started asking questions much much earlier...
