is it possible to combine multiple bodies created by a parameter input?

Hi,
I've tried a number of things for a couple of days, but I'm really stuck.

It is not the end of the world if I can't achieve this, but I am just trying to learn more of fusion 360.

I am trying to see if I can make the full build parametrised.
One of the bodies that I created is replicated multiple times using the pattern on path feature, then I want to combine multiple bodies that have been created by a parameter input, there is one step within the combine function that I don't know how to parametrise, as far as I know I have to manually select all of the bodies.

So my question is it possible to combine multiple bodies created by a parameter input and avoid having to modify the combine function every time?

I have included a screencast to show the issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

1. use rectangular pattern instead of pattern on path

2. change the position of body and pin in your timeline

3. use extrude tool with option "Cut"

unfortunately, if I understand the question correctly, the answer is "no".  There is no way to design a parametric recipe that will allow Combine to work with a variable number of bodies.  Or, to be more accurate, with a number of bodies that is larger than the original Combine was created with.  You can have fewer bodies, but not more.  This is an area we'd like to improve at some point, but it may be a while before we get to it...

Thank you for the input. I'm going to redraw this model and go from there.
