Intersections at sketch/drawing

Is there a possibility to assign dimensions at the intersection of sketch lines without using construction lines to specify this intersection point ? This is also useful at 2D Drawings if the nose radius of the turning tool has been drawn within the turning contour, so the internal dimension at the intersection point can be assigned.

Nope. I am pretty sure though this has been suggested more than once in the Idea Station. Most definitely for Drawings. Throw in your vote, or create a new idea if yoou cannot find it. It should get votes quickly.

Hey @Remy18 and @TrippyLighting -  We're getting close to implementing the apparent intersection behavior in Drawings that is discussed in this post and I was hoping you could help us

out with a few details. 

So the Associative Apparent Intersection snap, is coming - as a follow up to this we also wanted to make sure we got the intersecting extension lines right (shown in blue below)

Open questions:

Do you have a need for the intersection extension lines to display in some cases when there is not a dimension associated to them?

Could you give a brief description of how you'd like to see the extension lines would be added to the view?

If you have any additional thoughts on this please let us know!

Great to hear this feature will be implemented !

Thinking out loud about the intersection apparent with extensions lines:

• I doubt if displayed extension lines without a dimension associated to them, would add much value. Which function would these add for dimensioning products ?
• Are these extension lines giving the direction of which way the dimension can be added ? If not, would'ntt it be helpfull to add an point at the intersection of 2 lines to be able to create Dimensions at different angles. I did add a screenshot where D1 is displayed for a dimension in the X- direction and D2 at an angle toward the intersection point. This way the intersection point is more 'universal'
