Intersecting two solids at different heights along a 2d curve

I'm trying to connect two solids at different heights using a 2d sketch profile.  (I want the 3d curve to follow the 2d sketch curve)

perfect! thank you so much!  now the last step is to fill that are into a solid to connect the 2 together to make it one solid piece.  i have attached another file

Here's another video showing how to use the Patch workspace > Loft command to connect those two faces.

 

You can then use the Stitch command to stitch all of the surface bodies into a solid body. You could also use the Boundary Fill command for that.
