Intersecting surfaces and topology error

Hi,I have been trying to convert 3D scanned model from autodesk remake to a CAD in autodesk Fusion 360. I have watched several videos on the youtube and autodesk websites regarding the procedure. But when I press finsih form, intersecting surface error comes but I'm not able to find them. I went to utility-repairbody then autorepair but that doesnot work for me ! Please help asap. Thanks!

I would appreciate help on how to use repair body, what does the yellow stars and weld tolerance convey?

I have attached the file am working on.

"what does the yellow stars and weld tolerance convey?"

The yellow stars are called star points and they cause problems when being converted. Usually they are ok but some will just cause a failure on conversion so they need to be dealt with. There are endless ways to deal with them and how you deal with them depends on the surface area they are located in.

Star points also cause bad surface curvature, but they are really easy to fix as long as they are not an integral part of the model shape. I always try to make sure that star points are located in a "blend shape area" and not on a surface feature I need to control.

Weld tolerance is exactly as it sounds, point or edge gaps need to be smaller then the tolerance or they will not be joined.

Too high of a tolerance and you lose surface curvature and control, to small and the weld fails.

Can you post your .f3d file for me to look at?

Thanks Sir, below is a link to my fusion 360 doc. I need to learn how to tackle intersecting surfaces. I tried deleting boxes and then creating faces in their place in sculpt mode

Ok where to begin...this model wont work. I could make it work with a few hours of cleanup but it's not worth messing with.

Fusion is not meant for stuff like this and honestly you want a polygon modeler if your going to mess with meshes like this.

There are just so many things wrong with this model.

Your going to have to get much better pictures to create a usable model.

Tweak your settings to get more definition.

I have to get my engine CAD ready within couple of days and doing that through autocad/solidworks looks a huge task. My last option would be spending money and getting this done by a company.I understood the problems you mentioned. But, can they be rectified with better pictures, or I would require an all together new software if I plan on doing this?

What are you going to do with the CAD model when it's done because your not going to be able to get an accurate 3d model of the engine the way your doing it now.

We'll make a chassis CAD based on its mounting points(we are a formula student team). So we need it for mounting points, intake port, exhaust port.

There is no way that model will help you for that. Your going to need a much better model.

Put the engine on a decent CMM  machine and have the contact points measured and then transfer that into CAD.

This is much more precise and much less data to handle.

This model is useless for precise CAD work.

What is the "Blend Shape" area?  I haven't the slightest idea where to find it.  Or, how to use the area once I do.  Any chance you could make a video?  I cannot seem to find any regarding "Repair Body".
