Intentionally Disassociate Dimensions

Intentionally Disassociate Dimensions

Hey folks,

I have scoured the web and your forums but I can't seem to locate the answer to this particular dilemma. I'm trying to get the outermost dimension on an curved shape but I can't associate dims automatically to the points I need. I put in dims that I could with the intent to move them where I need them and edit the values if need be. However, when I try to move them I am met with no success. Please advise.

Thanks

Are they radii or splines? I'm guessing they are splines as the tangent points should be available if you use the linear dimension tool.

If they are splines I think you'll need to create a sketch in the design workspace and create short lines where you need the dimension. You'll still have some problems positioning the point as there's no tangent on spline tool in Fusion. After creating the sketch in the design workspace, save the design, update the drawing then enable visibility of the sketch. Construction lines and point do not show when you enable visibility in the drawing, only lines.
