inserting exported components into new design

I exported a couple components from existing designs to my computer.  I can load them into Fusion as separate designs, but there doesn't seem to be an option to import them from my computer to an existing design.

How about an "Import" option under File ??

Drag and drop doesn't work. When I drag the file it comes in as an icon with a "Copy+" message. Image attached. Tried the '+' key, Ctrl-C, etc., but nothing happens.

This shouldn't be so difficult. What am I doing wrong?

Also, a related (maybe) question: why don't designs in my "Admin" folder show up in My Recent Data folder?

Thanks

Kevin

Hi @kmanuele

Can you try following suggestions

  1. Open data panel>project
  2. Upload the exported file into the project
  3. Open the main assembly file
  4. Right click on the individual file use insert into current design or drag and drop the components

If you are team admin you should be able to see the files in the recent data. The latest version of Fusion is 2.0.21508 if you are not on the latest version please update it. Open any file in admin project do a save verify if it appears. Also, please try the suggestion in the following article

ok, that works.

I was confused by 'upload' option terminology. Assumed it meant upload existing project to some higher level, like the cloud.

solution accepted
