Body appears in wrong component

I sketched and modeled a sweep feature in a component ("base"), but it appears within another component ("perch" - which is used in four places in the assembly).

I didn't move the sketch or other geometry from one component to another, so I am perplexed as to why it shows up under the wrong component.

Here's a screenshot showing the unexpected result. I've also included the model file. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong and/or how to fix?

(Note - I had to log in to the forum using a temporary login due to the forum website redirects issue (link). My name is not actually Frank Zappa.)

Hi,

Most likely you were not paying attention to which Component was Active when you created the body.

If you create a body it will be put into the Bodies folder of the Active Component. You might be able to

fix this by simply click and drag the body to the correct component. If that does not work then you will

need to manipulate the Timeline to get it into the correct place.

Have a read of the Documentation about Active Components and how to manipulate the Timeline if you

need a refresher. Always a good idea if you are not entirely sure and time NEVER wasted.

Cheers

Andrew

That's what I assumed at first, but that's not it.

Hopefully you can see in the screenshot - "base" is the active component, and you can see the sweep is the last feature in its timeline. Also both sketches used by the sweep appear in that component. For some reason the bodies show up in "perch". Can you see any reason why?

Oops maybe I cut off the history at the bottom of the screenshot. Here it is again, showing the sketches and sweep in "base", and the body in "perch".

That worked - thanks to you and Drewpan. I assumed because the feature appeared in the history of the right component, that meant I had the right component activated when I modeled it ....¯\_(ツ)_/¯
