Importing or uploading .STP file not working.

I've been working on this for several days now and haven't been able to find the actual issue or how I can resolve the problem.

I'm working with 2 seperate 3D STP files of engines that I am pulling 2D DWG files from for documentation purposes, and I have successfully done this with the first file with only minor problems. The first file is 145MB and the second is 173MB, both are of desiel engine designs with many parts and layering.

My second file will not open in Fusion (using New Drawing from Design and selecting the file) and I can't upload the file to work on either, it simply starts the upload and then hangs at about 75%. I have tried this multiple times with no change and I can do all of this easily with the first file.

Any chance I can get help figuring out if the original file is simply corrupted or if there's something I may be doing?

Thanks!

Cadexchanger is free and if the file opens you could try resaving as stp or as one of the other file types supported.

@Anonymous,

I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue importing a particular STEP file.

Can you provide us with a copy of he STP to take a look at?

Thank you and we are looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

Sorry about the delay in getting back to both of you but I'm currently offshore on work that came up suddenly.

It won't allow me to upload the file directly here, stating it's too large, so I've got it in a public dropbox file here:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/60395624/32129-0_TCD%202013%20L04%202V_engine.stp

Let me know if you manage to do anything with the file, thanks!

So I've had a chance to sit down and try to tackle this again finally.

I installed the Cadexchange program and managed to open the original STP file with that, then saved it as a SAT file and managed to then upload the file to the Fusion 360 cloud which allowed me to open the file in Fusion.

Thank you for the assist!
