Importing and Scaling

Hello, I am trying to import an stl file from Tinkercad but when it goes into fusion 360, the model is 10 times as big(ei. 72.85 mm gets changed to 728.50 mm).

I use the Scale tool to scale the model back down to 10% but then the model is just floating is space above the work plane. This is very annoying and I want to know if there is a tool that can snap the model back down to the work plane after I have re-scaled it?

Thanks

Hi @knightersunit345 ,

Mesh files wont store unit information, If you directly open a .stl file in fusion 360 then it will import in cm.

Next time, while importing a .stl file in Fusion 360.

Create a new document and Use Insert > Insert Mesh.

Select appropriate unit type and then hit ok.
