This is the seat part of the chair, not the legs.

Start with a flat plate.

Sweep a profile around the boundary.

Sweep another profile up the middle.

I have looked at your solution and I like it very much. I wouldn't have known how to do that. Thank you for showing it.
Now I only let the outer bead run out a little more gently.
