I am trying to make an inverse mirror of a body

Ok I have a buddy who would like a drill/holding jig for a lower. So I figured I could project the plane and create a inverse of the body but I have not been able to do this. So I will post the file and a screenshot of what I am wanting to do and if someone could;e guide me I sure would appreciate it.

Basically the area in red I need to mill a plate that will fit against the model on both sides so it can be bolted thought the hole in the upper left and through the bottom. enabling it to be mounted in a vise and drill the holes.

Hi @cnctv !

Just to make sure I'm understanding here,  you would like the 'reverse' of your geometry there? Is this something that can be done by using the Combine tool (boolean cut)? By creating a virtual stock, you can combine>cut your virtual stock with your jig. This would create the inverse geometry you desire.

Let us know if this is what you needed?

Anychance you can show me this or have a write up on how. I am still learning Fusion so...LOL

and what I am needing is like if you were to push putty on the surface, so i guess yes the reverse geometry is what it would be.

Hi @cnctv ,

Are you able to see this Screencast? Of course, you can dictate the boundaries of the 'virtual stock' I'm creating to your needs and edit the body however you like.

Does this make sense?

That's an admirable goal, but unachievable.
