Split body along an edge?

I defined an extruded 2d body, shell'ed it, and am trying to separate the body into it's face and perimeter. I'd like to split the body along the selected (highlighted) blue line as per the screenshot. However, the split body tool does not seem to allow me to select edges as a splitting tool. Neither can I create an offset of the edge in the sketch tool. Is there an easy way for me to do this? File attached

Hmm, it looks like it is actually possible to draw an offset in sketch tool assuming you define the sketch plane on the surface that the edge exists on. Somewhat non-intuitive to me, but so be it.

Hi,

you don't have to draw an offset but just project the inside profile of the body into the sketch (P).

There is another way that requires less clicks.

I prefer to work with surfaces in many cases because if I run into a problem using Fusion 360 I can export a surface to STEP format, but I cannot do that with sketches.
