How To Use The Offset Tool To Offset From The Edge Of An Extruded Shape?

Hello Everyone -

I looked into this a great deal before posting this question, but I still can't find the answer.  I need to be able to use the offset tool in the sketch menu to be able to offset from the edge of even a simple extruded circle, but I can't figure out how to do that?  Fusion will not let me select the edge to offset from as you can see in my screenshot below.  How would I go about doing this simple task?

Thank you.

to use Sketch Offset, you must first project the edge into the sketch using the Project tool.  Sketch Offset only works on sketch geometry, and an edge is not a sketch curve.

Hi

If it is not automatically projected, please project it manually into the sketch first.

Thank you both for the help!  I greatly appreciate it. Projecting the edge allowed me to use the offset tool.
