I converted a mesh to a hollow body, but I can not figure out how to thicken the inner walls.

Any help would be appreciated.  File attached.

Attached is your model with a 0.5mm wall as you did not specify what you wanted.  You can edit the Shell at the end of the timeline.

If my Forum post solved your question, please select the "Accept Solution" icon to do three things. First it allows others to find a solution to a similar question, two, it closes the Forum post and last, it acknowledges that you accept the solution given. If you need further help, please ask. Thank you very much for providing a path forward.  I am trying to understand what was done so I can learn more from this experience and adapt it to modifications and future projects.

In your file before the second "Move" (Move2), the object shows as complete, but after Move2, it shows as a one half cutaway.  In my file, this doesn't happen.  I tried different "Display Settings" on my file but could not reproduce your results.  Can you explain this?

My real question comes in step 21 (Sketch4).  I don't understand how you were able to create the outline of the object as a sketch.  This seems to be the key element involved in this project.

Thanks again for your amazing help.

Take a look at the video.  Please notice I used the Mesh Section Sketch to remove all the outside facets leftover from the Mesh Conversion.  You have my model.

Super good explanation.  I'll play it a few times to make sure I understand everything.

How do you want to manufacture the vase, should it be printed?
In such cases, you don't need to shell a body.
Without infill, a solid can also be printed hollow.

@wersy, I'm not following what you are saying.  How do you print a solid without it's insides.

How would you specify the wall thickness?

The wall thickness is determined by the number of perimeters.
So if you choose 2 perimeters with an extrusion width of 0.4 mm, the wall thickness will be 0.8 mm.
No infill
No top layer
