Great minds of Fusion 360!

I would like to cut out a big shape ( tree ) on my small CNC router. This shape is roughtly 160cm tall, 180cm wide and router's bed is only 30cm x 40cm . How can I split the design ( model ) into  many "panels" so i can  cut them in 30cm x 40cm MDF material and glue them togheder later, with edges that roughtly match in size ( taking the cutter diameter into account ) ?

Thank you in advance for any ideas and answers.

etfrench,

I have one more question for you.  how do I put the attached file flat either on the X or Y axis to get ready for milling?   I have a number of these that are standing on the Z axis and need to put them flat?  again, sorry for the basic question.

thanks for the help!  can I buy you a coffee?

The simplest if you're doing one at a time is to set Z and X in the Manufacturing Setup.  If you're doing several at the same time, then I would make a copy of each in a new component (labeled CAM). Use a Planar joint to arrange them.

You could also use Nesting which was introduced several updates ago.
