How to repeat a curcular pattern (features) when features are not in same plane

In the attached project, I would like to repeat the screw holes from Body1 / Body3 around the entire object (so there will effectively be 36 holes.  This sounds like a perfect application for Circular Pattern (features), but I get strange results when I try to accomplish that.  If I try Circular Pattern (Features) and then choose Screw Holes from the timeline for the features, and Z-axis for the arc, the preview looks good, but when I apply (OK), the results are weird, following some path other than the circle.  How can I accomplish the goal?

This plane is not radial. I would create  a plane at 90 degree on one of your radial Construction lines in sketch 1.

...mmm Well that wasn't necessarily the issue!

 

This will wor,k but your error might need a bit more time to investigate (for me at least!)

You need to move your hole creation to an earlier point in your timeline.  You need to include the holes in the Pattern of the web features.  Please verify my transfer of your dimension to my new sketch.  Model is attached.

Hmmm, move to how much earlier, and why?  What is the requirement that's not being satisfied by the original approach?  I don't understand about including the holes in the pattern.  Selection of the feature from the timeline is enough, right?  If not, please clarify this.

I marked the position in your timeline in my reply as a screen capture.  Did you not see my post?  The hole features need to a part of the bodies you are patterning BEFORE they are patterned.

Experts @jhackney1972 and @TheCADWhisperer are right.

When making repeat parts, you should first complete one body and then duplicate the body in the pattern.

Moreover, it's a very simple geometry that can be completed using ~half the modeling operations. It's worth considering the order (and number) of Fillet operations, depending on the desired effect.

I apologie, @jhackney1972 - I saw your post (how else could I have replied), did you see my unanswered questions?  And regarding your update - I'm even more confused.  Did you think I was trying to make a pattern from something that didn't yet exist?  Anyway, I am going to go a different route as suggested by @kacper.suchomski below.

Wow, you put a lot of time and effort into this - thank you so much!  I learned a great deal from your diffferent approach (for example, the cool scissors "cut" command - had not run across that one!).  Great stuff, I will really benefit from this!
