Aug 18 Update closing and opening a file

Aug 18 2025 Update closing and opening a file is "jumpy" between new "file manager screen" and Icon project view at screen sides when closing a file, I haven't check if I can turn off the "new" file manager screen", but is jumpy and may need fix  sec-07   sec-29   sec-49 more or less the times were you can see the "jumpy" action, maybe "glitch" will be a better description

I have watched your video but I do not see anything unusual.  You are not using the "Home" file manager, only the Data Panel.  What are you referring to with the statement "new file manager screen"?

@Felipe.G Seconds 32 and second 43 when you close the file you see a "flash" of the home tab. is that what you are referring to as jumpy?

Yes that wasn't there until this new update

@Felipe.G Can you share what version of Fusion you are on? Also, from the video it does look like you are on Windows? Can you share what version of Windows OS you are on?

You can see the "file manager screen" on the last part of the video if you start at sec-49, the others don't show a lot just the small glitch when closing, but if you look from sec-49 to the end you will see a glance of the "file manager"....I'm calling it "file manager" I don't know how to call it properly, but that wasn't there before

"Home" file manager is showing when closing more like a glitch, never seen it before until now and definitely the software wasn't behaving like this until update, thank you jhackney1972 I know now the name

@Felipe.G I went back a few builds and I do see the same behavior. The home tab is sort of the first document in that tab. When you close the last document in the tab, it shows the home tab that is the first document until the next default untitled document opens. You can easily see this by opening fusion, close the unnamed document and you will see it but if you have multiple document open and you close any one of the document you will not see it.

I wonder, I use the software daily and today after updating this definitely caught my attention, I will need to check some video tutorials I made or youtube videos but I'm sure this didn't happened before until now

I will continue to check on my end as well but the key here is that when the last document is closed you see this behavior.

I checked with the other computer that we have here with different fusion license that hasn't been updated and definitely this is not happening

Thank you Rajkumar, I wish I was able to explain it a little better from the start, but after my experience and checking with the other computer this does not even happens when closing the home menu never shows for me or as I mentioned the other computer is not showing such behavior, thank you for having a look and your follow up

@Felipe.G I will check on the build that you mentioned and from earlier builds too. At this time, is this problem impacting your productivity?

no but opening and closing files for 10 hrs makes it distracting and if this is a bug I will prefer to have it solved before may cause some issues

Hi @Felipe.G ,

Thank you for sharing this. We already have a bug raised for this behaviour FUS-193617 .

As @RajkumarIlanchelian mentioned we see "HomeTab" for a second when we close all the Tabs/documents from canvas and then opens an untitled document.

Our team do have a fix for this and the issue should be resolved in upcoming updates.
