How To Remove And Relocated A Section From A Single Body/Object

I need to know in detail, meaning the EXACT steps for things to click on and do, for how to remove a section/thing from a single body, and then reattach it somewhere else on the body of the object. I downloaded a tool box from thingverse (thing number 4433963) but I don't like where the designer placed the mounting tab which will place the tool box at the front of my Ender 5 Pro 3D printer. I want to remove the mounting tab as shown in the picture and move it to the lower section of the tool box thus will allow me to locate the tool box to back section of my 3D printer.

I have tried searching and doing COUNTLESS how-to videos to get this done whereby trying 123D Design, FreeCAD, Meshmixer, and now Fusion 360 but I can't find a DETAILED video on how to do what should be such a simple process but keeps looking like the designers of the software made it a complicated process to do what seems should be such a simple process.... since whatever I follow in their videos of them using the same software I am using, it does not do what it shows it doing in their videos

Any links to the videos that show all of and the DIRECT steps to doing the process that I need done would be appreciated... can be videos for 123D Design, Fusion 360, etc as I listed above

You may want to check your Preferences to see if these things are turned on or not...

HEY, I CANT BELIEVE IT ... I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK

Correction: YOU got me to get it to work ;o)

A few more things weren't located where your stuff was, but after sorting through the tools I found the things you used and then after several more tries I resulted with the tool box you did

I got confused, and still am confused a little, on what to do afterwards whereby should I save it there and/or to export it, but I assumed that I needed to export it as an STL file so as to then import it into Cura, slice it, transfer it to the sd card, and then my Ender 5 Pro be able to read and print the file. Is that correct?  I think it is correct since I started a mock print just to see if everything looked like it started printing right. I did approx 10 layers and everything looked good, well, other than noticing how tiny the actual openings were for the drawers in the tool box.

The close up pic of the tool box on thingverse makes it look bigger than what it actually is when the reality is that the drawers are hardly 1 3/16" wide which from the print I started and pealed off, I wasn't even able to get my average-sized fingers in to grab anything out of it! If I went with the 1 3/16" wide drawer I would have to press the release tabs on the side each time to pull the drawer all the way out and then dump the drawer on the desk to get the tools, and so probably going to do at least 2" wide and then convert to whatever millimeters that would be since I seen where you pointed out things need to be in millimeters and from the asking around I did on that I know why.

....so now all I have to do is widen the frame without changing the dimensions of it's height and length. I started looking for videos but no luck so far. Either I'm not using the right key words or something else. For now I'm trying to figure out if I need to do all of the same initial steps you showed before I try to actually widen/resize (stretch its width, if I'm using that term correctly here) the frame of the tool box.

Think I got it!

I used 123D instead and it was much simpler, at least for me, to resize the width with the "Smart Scale" tool. I also heightened the tool box a little. Think the only problem I personally might have later on is to then resize each tool box to fit the new measurements

Oh and I have to see if I had to change the measurements from Imperial to Metric before exporting the tool box file as a STL and then slicing it with Cura. I have my 123D setting to use thousandths since I am trying to design wads for my 12ga, 20ga, and 410 shotgun slug loads that are measured in thousandths from the manufacture and not millimeters

"to then resize each tool box to fit the new measurements"

meant to say  to then resize each drawer to fit the new measurements of the tool box

Glad to hear that you're getting things done.

I do just want to politely point out that we could have taught you how to model this from scratch in Fusion by now. And you would be able to just type in dimension changes to alter the drawer sizes or whatever. Just saying!
