How to recover auto-saved file after crash?

I have Fusion setup to save my work every 5 minutes.  Fusion crashed on me about 8:20.  I'm on a Mac, El Capitan 10.11.6.  When I re-opened Fusion it asked me if I wanted to restore a file called Untitled from 6:50 (I said no).  My file was not untitled, I had already saved it many times. How do I recover my file? I should only lose at most 5 minutes of work, right?

I have seen that you have experienced a Network connection issue at 00:27 am GMT, 

which is approximately (-4hrs GMT) 8:27 pm, if you are physically located in the US Eastern Time zone.

If you you are connected through WIFI, could you check if there is any Firewall which could have blocked the access?

You can manually recover your files if you click on the File icon and click on "Recover Documents"

When I click on File icon, the recover documents has a (0) next to it.  Why is that?

I have not had problems with my network, but maybe the network access problem you noticed in the log caused the crash - although I don't think a temporary loss of network should cause fusion to crash.  Normally my network is fine.

Thanks for the update.

After the latest Fusion 360 crash and re-launch, you do have the option to recover your documents.

If you close Fusion 360 normally after the re-launch and launch it again, the non-recovered documents (temporary files) will be deleted, in case you did not recover them.

Yes, loosing the connection will force Fusion 360 to go into the offline mode but not to crash.

Do you use any Antivirus software on your computer?

When Fusion crashed and I restarted it, I did get a dialog box asking if I wanted to restore a file, but it was from over an hour ago, so I said no to recovering it.  I don't know why it didn't have a file from within 5 minutes.

I'm not using anti-virus.

Could you check if "Automatic version on close" is activated and the Auto recovery is set to 5min.

I´m curious if auto save did may not work in this particular case.

My computer is configured the same as your screenshot.  Automatic version on close is not selected.  Auto recovery is every 5 minutes.

If you still can't retrieve the files lost on your Mac after trying, try other methods. For example, Time Machine Backup.
