How to put holes in the back?

Hi everyone.  Complete newbie here.  I am trying to design a spoilboard for my CNC router.  From the front, it has countersunk (counterbored) holes to mount to the bed.  From the back, it has a grid of countesunk (counterbored) holes for t-nuts as a workholding/clamping system.

I start by making a sketch of the board.  Then I extrude it to the actual thickness of my board.  Then I put my "mounting" holes in the front.  My problem comes when I try to put the "clamping" holes in the back, because I can only place them, or sketch anything, on the "front" face (original sketch).  I haven't been able to figure out how to place holes, or even sketch anything, on the back face.  I'm sure this is very elementary, but I haven't been able to find any information.  Thanks in advance for any help!

  • In the design environment on the top left corner there is your navigation cube.
  • Use it to navigate to the bottom of your model
  • On the top right there will be start a new sketch click it and then click the bottom of your model.
  • This will open up a new sketch at the bottom plane of your model.
  • Use P for project to project any geometry you care to use and sketching new geometry as you like.
  • Now you can extrude this new geometry as a cut through your model

Thank you for the help! I hadn't figure out how to put the new sketch on the face -- duh! The example spoilboard was also very useful.  I really appreciate the input.
