How to pattern feature and extruded sketches

In the attached file, I have used the pattern tool to pattern a feature from one end of my design to the other. The feature I patterned is a cut out from sheet metal and a flange. The flange patterned quite nicely, but I forgot to include the cut out hole. I tried to edit the pattern, but was unable to select the cut out hole. Is it even possible to do so?

Please show me how to select both the feature (e.g., flange) and the cut out hole in a pattern. If this isn't possible, help me to see how I can do this.

That hole (extrude2) occurs in the timeline after the pattern.  It need to be before the pattern to reference it in the pattern.  So, drag it before, then add it to the pattern (remember to hold down CTRL/CMD to add selections):

While editing the pattern, just hold the Ctrl key down and select the extrude.

Perfect! I always forget I can select things in the timeline. I was unable to select the square hole as a feature, but selecting the extrude was simple.
