How To Open A File

I'm trying to open the Sportscar file, I double clicked on it in the Data Panel, was taken to a download page, selected a location and downloaded it. It's shows as a zip file, but there's not extract option, it has a Fusion 360 icon, but states it's a zip file. If I right click and open it opens a new Fusion (I already have it running) and shows a blank screen. I've tried opening it from within Fusion, but I don't see an Open Existing File option and all the tutorials I've seen always start by creating a new file.

Aslo what if I don't want designs saved to the cloud, is there an option to turn it off or is it automatic?

Thanks.

Thanks, I'll give that a go, but seriously, all that to open a file that Fusion includes with their trial?

Hi,
Fusion includes A360 as the cloud collaboration solution for all users. These samples are for A360 where you could invite some one who not a Fusion user to your project. These samples show those users how a wide variety of formats can be viewed in the browser without needing to download any additional software.

If you want to play with these designs in Fusion, you can right mouse click on the design and select "Convert to Fusion Design" and be able to open it that way without having to download or upload anything.

Regards,
Bankim

Sorry I'm not sure what you want me to do, I'm talking about the file named Sportscar that comes with the demo version of Fusion.

Like I said in an earlier post these were uploaded as viewable samples for A360... However they should translate to Fusion 360 correctly. The fact that they are not is a bug.  We expect to fix this by revamping how we share and present samples in the Feb update.

You can double click into the Designs or Toolpaths folders in the samples project to get Fusion ready samples for now.

Thanks,

Bankim
