How to make wire frame look thicker

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to make the wireframe display look thicker for printing. Is there a way to do that? unmodified, the lines are too thin to be visually clear, so it looks faded when printed on paper.

Thanks in advanced for your help!

What wireframe ? Can you post more details, maybe a screenshot or a screencast or share your design ?

Hi  Here's an example. I go to Display settings > Visual Style > Wireframe with Visible Edges Only. But then the wires are too thin, so when it's printed out, it's so hard to see.

Hi Arnold,

I think there is a better way for it.

  1. save the construction
  • create a drawing in drawing mode
  • select scale and view and the type of the representation

I hope it will look better

Thanks for your suggestion. Using the drawing would limit the perspective. there's only top, bottom, and side view (and a few diagonal views)

You can always create NAMED VIEWS from inside the modeling environment at any orientation you want.

This was too slow for my design (lots of bodies). Here's my work around for generating line drawings for patents. It might for other purposes.

Use these settings.

Visual Style- Wireframe with visual edges only
Environment - Photo Booth
Effects - Anti-Aliasing OFF (this is important)

Now zoom and position the design to the size it is to appear in the document you are targeting. The Named View feature is nice for recalling a view.

Use Microsoft snipping tool to cut and paste into the target document.

This approach is not perfect but it is quick. When you need to generate dozens of figures that's important.

This was exactly what I needed, thank you! Anti-aliasing - Off did it for me.
