How to drag component to another component

Hello! I met a problem, from some point a cannot drag components in another components in assembly

For example:  I have a lot of screws, nuts, bolts or other same things in assembly. I want to put them all in one  sub-combonent like a "folder" for more easyler navigation in browser.  At start of work I did it normally, but after some time this function is no longer avaliable. And if i drag one or group of components nothing happens

This is how it looks in new assembly. Blue line appears and i can drag comp 3:1  into comp 2:1

And in my designt this is not working.  Browser do not react on this dragging

Hi @Pavel6T3X9

Thanks for posting!
There is an item after the timeline marker (grayed one). The timeline is preventing the restructure of the body due to timeline errors or references that exist in the design. It is not possible to move the body and maintain a parametric history for the design.
To move component with the history marker not rolled to the end, use one of the following workarounds:

  • Copy Body and use the Paste New command from the right click menu in the Browser.
  • Disable the timeline.

Hi,

try this

1. move timeline marker to end

2. compute all (ctrl+B)

3. drag & drop components

Note the numerous error messages!

That solved it! That UX definitely needs work, as it isn't discoverable that the timeline history is preventing moving components around.
