How to create "ribs" out of a solid object (for cutting on a cnc)?

I'm trying to create something like this stool top. So if I draw a solid disc, is there a way to slice it up into those ribs easily?  thanks!

You could use offset planes to slice the solid object.

Or just cut with a block and do a pattern to get equidistant slices...?
