How to Create a Wedge?

Sorry for the newbie question, but I want to create a box, where the front plane is shorter than the back plane--i.e., the top slopes upwards. I'm trying to model a midi keyboard, where the front of the keyboard, where the keys are, is shorter than the back of the keyboard, which contains all the electronics.

Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous,

There are many ways to accomplish that. This is a very simple one:

Here's another one. To be clear, however this is just to show the draft feature. You should always constrain and dimension your sketches just as Ben shows in his vid.

100% unhelpful for beginners. Next time, please consider writing out step-by-step instructions, don't create a tiny video where you blow through actions too quickly to see what's happening,  without explaining what you're doing.

I have spent several hours trying to create a solid 3-D wedge shape. Hours! I can't believe how hard this program makes everything, and how poor the help is in the autodesk community. All the documentation and all the help forums seem to assume everybody is an expert already. Not everybody is.

I wonder how many more hours I will lose not accomplishing this unbelievably simple need.

The tutorials in the self-paced learning section are specifically aimed at beginners with no prior experience with parametric CAD systems. They can be directly accessed from within Fusion:

They might take a few hours to complete, but once completed you'll have a much more thorough understanding of how Fusion works, and a simple and designing a wedge will be quick and easy!

When this thread  started, those tutorials and most of the stuff available on YouTube today, did not exist.
