How to chamfer a conic curve?

Was wondering if there's a simple way to get a chamfer on such a tight curve that goes the entire height of the part.

Loft will probably be the best way.

How would I use loft to make a chamfer?

The reason the Chamfer fails at or above 0.0295in (very small) is that a bigger chamfer will cause the curve at the nose to convert to a point.

The size of your chamfer required is not mentioned, the block is 0.5 thick.

Somethings are difficult or impossible.

  1. Create a sketch at the lower level of the model.
  2. Project (or Project Intersect, depending on the shape) the body to the sketch.
  3. Create a sketch at the top level of the model.
  4. Project the top face to the sketch.
  5. Convert the projected geometry to construction lines.
  6. Offset them to the desired width of the chamfer.
  7. Adjust the profile by adding fillets at sharp corners.
  8. Loft between the profiles on the two sketches.
  9. Split Body using the loft as the cutting tool.

Note: This workflow works fairly well for text.
