How to / Can it be done / Is it possible ?

I have been doing something probably the wrong way and I'm curious is there a simpler way to do this?

So far I have created the following, by sketching a curve then using sweep to turn the sketch into an object then splitting the object into many sections.

If I create a flat circle sketch, can I pinch it from the center and create the same kind of object ?

Hi,

what is your goal?

I prefer "revolve tool"

@SimonPlatten

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Why are you using Sweep and Split rather than Revolve and Pattern.

Why are you using Split at all?

Simply because I'm quite new to Fusion 360 and don't know how to use it properly.

Is it possible that it is to be a lamp?
It reminds me very much of the lamp I made the last time.

Sorry, no it isn't a lamp, I'm modelling my own version of Wind Turbine where I am starting with upward blades that will direct the air to the main blade.  I intend to print these in PETG then use Carbon Fibre on the PETG templates to make the actual blades.  Each blade will be at least 2 metres in diameter.

1. You didn't Attach your file here.

2. There must be some reason, some logic in your mind for why you use Split.  You haven't explained that reasoning (I think I know why - but I don't want to be guessing about your true Design Intent).

3. Are you fully defining all of  your sketches? Do you know what that means?

4. Are you using the Move command?  (Move is almost always the wrong move (pun intended) as used by beginners.)

My research seems to reveal that you have been using Fusion for >>5 years<<.

My research would seem to indicate that you have developed some >>poor modeling techniques<< that will have to be addressed.

We will have to take this step-by-step.  Attach your latest file here.

Thank you, the only reason I am having to split the model into smaller models is the 3D printer isn't capable of printing anything that large so I have to slice it up into manageable chunks.

What does fully defining mean ?

I am learning by using which is a long path.

That is what I thought.  You should mention stuff like this in your problem descriptions.  Don't assume that we know anything about your Design Intent.

As far as fully defining a sketch - blue geometry and white dots should keep you awake at night.  Attach your latest file here.
