How to adjust the width of my 2D sketch?

I used the scale function to scale the sketch up, from a few millimeters to a few hundred millimeters. However, the parameters (width) of my sketch is off by about +50mm, while the height is perfect (which makes sense, given that I scaled the sketch by the height). How can I narrow the entire sketch, so that the height stays the same, but the width changes? I tried to scale the sketch, but it wouldn't allow me to do non-uniform scaling, which I think might be the solution. I've attached a visual for reference.

Can you articulate why scaling the sketch is the way to approach this?

Generally speaking, scaling is not a good approach to use for adjusting sketches in parametric modelers.  Fusion isn't CorelDraw or inkscape, and requires a different mind set and approach.  scaling may seem like the easy way to go, but making additional (and probably necessary) changes to your sketch will be a bear.

I don't need to scale it, necessarily. Really, I just want to adjust the width of the sketch, without affecting the height of the sketch.

can you attach it here? (export as .f3d, attach to post)

This is not so elegant, but you could:

1. Extrude your sketch;

2. Modify/Scale the solid in the non uniform way you want;

3. Create a new sketch and Project the shape.

I am having trouble with Fusion360. It won't let me extrude the sketch. Do you have troubleshooting advice?

What is it your hoping to make with this?  do you have a pic or a sketch?

these are very strange sketch entities, are they imported from another program?

imported curves are frequently a source of problems.   these are of terrible quality and are going to be extremely difficult to work with.

You can't extrude this sketch b/c it's not a closed profile (endpoints aren't all connected).   you also have a spline across the bottom that is twisted and folded onto itself.  that's going to be a problem when you start making solids/surfaces.

Good sketching skills are the foundation of modeling successfully in fusion.  I would suggest going through some of the tutorials on sketching, and then attempting to make this shape from scratch in fusion.  You'll end up with better geometry.  Make a go of it and attach your attempt here and someone will help.

Also, the way your approaching using the form mode isn't going to work out for you.  There's a lot more to it.  but that's a whole nother thing. let's start with the sketch. (actually lets start with a pic/drawing/explanation of what your trying to do)

You have 12 sketches, you should have only 1 sketch. (And they are mostly tiny straight lines - rubbish.)

Come back and answer @laughingcreek questions and end all doubt.
